unviersity 1010 debate with infamous edna

Well the semester is coming to a halt. During University 1010 I've adopted a new heart for homelessness. Today i have my debate and I'm really excited. I'm fairly confident in my work and in the time i put into this. Today i will be debating the pro of providing shelters for the homeless. Hopefully the day will go as planed. Nich and I have been carefully planning for 2 weeks now... so everyones going down!

Life at Madonna ...

So far life is alright at madonna. It has gotten better and could be worse. I've met lots of new people which i love doing. My teachers are alright. My favorite in particular is Edna my univ. 1010 teacher. My classes are going alright i've been getting B's so hopefully i can keep it up. I've always pondered on why my friends change when they go to college but now i know. Maturity sorta kicks you in the *** when you go to college.

Service Learning: The Aftermath

Last weekend i went to service learning a the gleaners food donation. There i put caned goods in boxes to get ready to be shipped to the less fortunate . I am not gonna lie i was dreading waking up at seven in the morning to go but suprisingly it wasn't that bad. I felt like i was a good citizen afterwards.

JUST ME & MY SIS

In the picture is my sister and I. Don't mind the dark circles and the grocery bags under my eyes. I figured i would post about this! My sister lives in Florida and i'm going to visit her over Christmas break. I can't wait to see my nephew and niece! I haven't seen them in almost a year! :-(. While everyone is freezing their tails off in the winter ill be basking in the nice warm sun getting my tan on. I've never been to Florida so it will be quite the experience! Just thought i would share!

Service Learning

November 10 ,2007 i will be attending the Gleaners food bank. I choose this service learning because it hits pretty close to home. At one point in my life i was literally a dollar away from being homeless. My house along with a lot of other Michigan citizens got put up on foreclosure. The bank was about to take my house and everything in it. We couldn't afford our house non the less food. I worked 20 hour a week and also was going to school. I used the money i was making to buy food and help pay for my family's living expenses. Currently we still have our house because the bank gave us a little extra time to get our act together. I think Gleaners is a great program that i can relate with. My home often got gifts from charities such as lunch meat, corn and other valuable food items. I just thank got everyday for what he has given me and for all the charities that have donated to my family.

Madonna

So far I'm enjoying Madonna. I just finished my mid terms and i realized in all my years that i have never studied that vigorously. I believe the studying payed off though and I'm expecting to receive good grades on all of them. Finally i have met some new people. I have came out of my shell and am now comfortable with being myself. I didn't think Madonna could handle me (haha).

PLAYOFFS

As we all know I play for the Madonna Soccer Team. Wednesday October 25, 2007 I had a Play off game against Aquinas. My team and i were ready kick Aquinas's ***. We had lost two really tight games to Aquinas and we were ready to show them what we worked so hard for. I started in net. Anxiousness, confidence, and nervousness overcame my body. The first half two goals were score by Aquinas. Both shots were off a cross and were scored at the six yard box. I was angry but the game wasn't over there still was one more half. We came back and scored a goal in the second half. We couldn't seem to get one more in though. We missed multiple shots on an open net. In the end we lost to Aquinas 2-1.

Established Principal

An educated person should know the basic principals of life. Some items might be how to eat right and exercise which incorporate in maintaining a healthy body. Being that I'm a college student and I'm very busy i lack on many if not all of those. An educated person must also know ones limits and how far one can go. This will help you determine your schedule and how much of a work load one can handle. There is a lack of common sense among teenagers and many adults in the world. An educated person must know the harmful effects of drugs alcohol and other abuses caused on the body. At an educational stand point an educated person needs to know ho to read and write to get at least somewhere. An educated person should be a leader and not a follower and know him or herself.

Many of these items cant be found or looked up but rather items that on can find within themselves. For some one can go online for such things as proper exercise and questions on drug abuse. For reading and writing talk to your parents or even a school adviser.

My Roots

No doubt my family has been a big part of my life. Let me introduce you to the people that made me who i am today... Up above we have my littlest brother Evan , then behind him is the woman i get my looks from and i have no clue what the heck my brother garret is doing on my right.

Oh the infamous little rascal. This is my nephew Cavan. Don't let his innocent features fool you. Ha no he really is a good boy, but he knows how to throw a couple punches so i always got to be nice.

To the front is my diva neice Aila and behind her is my older sister (Cavan and Aila are brother and sister). My sister is my hero and the person that has helped guide me along the way. She has taught me through her experiences exactly what i don't want to do.

My dad isn't pictured but let me tell you he is a big teddy bear and when i say big i mean big. Everyone is scared to death when they first meet the brute but by the end of the night they love him. I get my personality and humor from him.

My best friend of all is my little brother Garrett. He knows me better than anyone. He looks out for me so guys watch out! Next is my friend Randy. He might look a little scary but he's got a big heart!
Danielle is someone i can be myself with at all times. She is probably the most loyal and honest friend i have. She will tell you like it is. I know if anyone came at me the wrong way she would be the first to defend me.

To the left is crystal she has really helped me find out what kind of person i am. Blerta is the next person shes my best friend, we just let loose and go wild. Nour is in the blue dress she knows everything about me, she knows all my deepest darkest secrets.

In the back is my newest friend Ryan and the the side is gangster brice. Their cool guys we go to concerts together and just goof around all the time.

Laurel is the most beautiful person inside and out. She is pure and honest. I met her in kindergarten and the rest is history. We have been friends for many years. She's one of the most important people in my life.

Now Leah and I were separated at birth. We can not say anything but we know what each others thinking. Although she has problems of her own she has always been there to help me through mine.

Alright i know what your probably thinking, why is he wearing makeup and what is he wearing?! Well i have been in the high school musical with Jon Since i was in fourth grade. Through all the break ups and all the tears he's the one guy i can really count on. Whoever he gets married to will be one lucky girl.

Last but not least is my rock, my strength, and my heart. My mother is who I strive to be everyday. Even though she has trouble expressing it I will always know that she is proud of me and what i will and what I have become.Now playing: Comeback Kid - Broadcastingvia FoxyTunes

Goodbye High School, Hello Madonna University

High school was for sure an eye opening experience. I come from a small school called Clarenceville. While attending my high school i played varsity soccer, track and volleyball for four years. I was a part of the NHS society and Student Congress. Its quite a transition from going to were i know every single person in my school to knowing as few as twenty people that attend Madonna University.

Up above on the left hand side i have Paul Thomas my Madonna Coach and on the right side i have my High school soccer coach. During High school I was a four year varsity player and i played on the guys team for two years because we did not have a girls team. When i played high school ball I was one of the best on the team. It is awkward now playing college level ball where everyone is as good if not better then me. I have to push myself farther then i ever thought i could go. College is alright so far but its only going to get better!
